Training camp is less than a month away in Saskatoon, and the Roughriders are continuing to add to the roster.  The team announced it has signed American Linebacker C.J Avery.

Avery played five years at the University of Louisville and was named the team’s top defensive player in 2019.

Avery signed with Chicago of the NFL as an un-drafted free agent in 2022 and was in training camp with the Bears.  He also spent a season with the Las Vegas Vipers of the XFL, getting into all ten games.
